doc. PhDr. Lenka Krejčová, Ph.D.
I work as a psychologist at DYS-centrum Praha, z. ú. I offer assessment, counselling, short-term interventions, and long-term therapy to children and adults. I work with individuals, families, sometimes with teachers of my clients.
I have been involved in several different research projects. I used to teach at the Department of psychology, Faculty of Arts, Charles University. I write books and professional articles.
In my work I try to follow the principles of the so-called cognitive approach to education. In other words, I look for ways how to stimulate pupils' thinking when assessing them and/or working with them; how to activate them in their learning, so that they enjoy it, learn with comprehension and show their hidden potential.
I always want to understand the learning and thinking process of children and adolescents. I believe that everyone has the potential for further growth.

I studied primary education. The choice of my profession had been clear since childhood in which I was surrounded by learning, movement and art (I attended a class with extra lessons of modern gymnastics and at the same time I went to the art and dance lesson at Art school in Opava).
In addition to my profession, thanks to my daughters, I used to coach aesthetic group gymnastics.
My family and our school are the sources of my lifelong learning. We learn from each other, we perceive our feelings, moods, successes and failures. Just like with my family, I like to change the environment with my students: the classroom setting for a park, mountains, a library or a gallery.

I graduated in teaching for 1st grade at Pedf UK, specialization English language. I started working with children while studying at an eight-year grammar school, especially in the form of tutoring, when I worked with children from the first and second grade, including children with special needs. I gained further practical experience in the Erasmus+ programme in Norway and then as a first grade teacher in several state primary schools. My aim is to create a safe creative environment for children where they are free to explore, make mistakes, develop and support each other. In my spare time I write stories and fairy tales, create illustrations and stop-motion animations. I belong to the group of noisy introverts and I love chocolate. If I get the choice between a dog and a cat, I choose the rabbit. I'm the persistent type who doesn't shy away from a challenge, and I try to guide my children in the same spirit.

I was motivated to become a teacher by my own memories of my school environment, which are not always entirely rosy. I believe that you can do it differently, better and with respect for the child, which is the main reason why you can meet me at the Cognition School. When I'm not teaching, I love to play sports and I try to pass on this positive attitude towards exercise to the children.

I am about to finish my study of primary education at the Faculty of Education, Charles University. After high school, I decided to pursue this field because I see the meaning in working with children. I had a part-time job in a kindergarten, helped with babysitting and led groups at summer camps.
After spending some time in university, I finally had a chance to see a different perspective on schools than just as a student. This made me realize that the education system at the schools I attended did not suit me and did not motivate me enough. I would like to help create school environment that will motivate and support children in further learning and development, so that they enjoy learning above all and want to know more.
In my free time I like painting, drawing, baking and decorating cakes, cooking, reading or going for walks. I like trying new activities.

Mgr. Markéta Škrnová Frýbová
I graduated from the Department of Information Technology and Library Science at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague. Although I still enjoy the work with information, I enjoy teaching English even more, which I have been doing for more than 20 years.
I used to work mainly with pre-school children and younger school-age children, I also prepare students for Cambridge exams, I organize English summer camps and weekend "science workshops" for children.
I would like children to see a foreign language not as a list of words to be learned, but as a means of getting along in everyday situations and making new friends.

As a child I had the opportunity to go to school in England for a few months, then later in the USA and at university in Germany. The education systems there were diametrically different from ours, and so I wondered what good things to take from which system and how best to teach so that it would be in a pleasant atmosphere and at the same time the children would really learn something. That is why after studying at university (Philosophy and Art Education with a focus on education) I decided to do the teaching minimum. After that I worked for a while with Erasmus+ grants and later lectured courses on critical reading of texts. I like languages, I like reading texts and I like even more to find what is behind them and how they can speak to our contemporary lives. The question of how best to teach has not left me, and I continue to seek its answer both with my children at school and with my children at home.

I studied a vocational school and worked as a waiter for ten years.
In 2018, I founded the Buday organization. Working as a CEO has taught me to be empathetic, find strengths in everyone and support them.
